The Blackpool Illuminations 10k attracted a good number of Red Rose with Andrew Christie the pick of the bunch with a time of 40.12 and Amanda Cutler being our first lady home in another good time of 50.57. The high class field at the Mid Cheshire 5k saw some excellent times including Red Rose finishers. Simon Croft 15:55, Daniel Hughes 17.31, Simon Robinson 17.32, Andrew Christie 17.52 Carla Davies 18.27, Stephen Boardman 21.14, Laura Houghton 23.25, Natalie Moore 23.40, Damian Clapham 31.13.
The final Harrock Hill fell race saw Steve Woodruffe come home with the box of veg in the V55 category in 39.34 and Maureen Laney equalling his achievement in the L60 group in a great time of 45.13. John Wiseman finished in 55.11, Alison Mercer 60.12, Gareth Fairey 62.43,Sue Austin 65.58 and Jenny Fairclough 66.00.
Jack Bretherton came 10th in the Pendleton fell race over a distance of 5 miles and 1499feet of climb in a time of 43.00.
25 Red Rose Runners turned out to celebrate the second anniversary of the Witton Parkrun.
And finally a little late news, Roger Schultz (Red Rose) ran an impressive 34.42 in the 1998 Skipton 10k. Thanks to Ken Addison for tracking down this PB performance for Roger.
