LEP Race Reports for 16th July 2011

At the latest Inter Club Fell Championship race held at Warton Crag Red Rose turned out in great numbers. Around 25% of the entry was in the red vest of the increasingly vibrant local club with members willing to take the challenge of the fells. Fred Lynch led the team home on the sort of course he excels on. Ken Addison ran well with Phil Butler and John Shepherd not far behind. Alison John-Haslam had a fine race leading the ladies home and Bernard Elkington ran his first Fell run at the age of 70+.

At the Catforth 10K the club were well represented with 8 runners. Paul Woan was the pick of the bunch but good times were recorded by our new members. Jo Duffy showed a good return to form finishing in 47 minutes and all runners came home under the hour.
