Red Rose Road Runners have taken to the fells in recent weeks with the promise of warm evenings and different challenges that these races present. At Harrock Hill a group ran with great success with John Shepherd and Ken Addison picking up their age group category prizes.

On the roads, John Shepherd ran well for 17:59 at the Lancaster 5K with Tony Thorley pleased with 21:05. Andrew Baxendale ran inside 22 minutes with 21:57 and Julie Thorley finished well in 24:40.
At the Fleetwood Sotos 10K, the usual warm conditions prevailed and again plenty of good results were posted. Another V45 prize for John Shepherd confirmed his good form.
Emma Cowie-Shaw came home comfortably inside the hour and Cliff Utting and Stuart Cann gave creditable performances. Evelyn Elkington continued to defy her age taking the V65 prize.
