At the second Badger Run held at Cuerden Valley Park, Red Rose runners improved on individual performance compared to the first race a month ago. Some great runs from the ladies saw Janine Needham, Paula Plowman and Sue Harrison all ran more than a minute faster. Joan Gouldthorpe picked up the Vet 60 prize. The Fairclough 5 attracted 83 runners. John Shepherd ran 29:48. Jo Duffy and Peter Gibson ran well together breaking 40 minutes. Bernard and Evelyn Elkington were among several V70 runners with Evelyn being the only lady. Sue Harrison ran her second race of the week finishing in 47:38.
