At the Stoop Fell race, runners were in festive mood wearing Santa hats for this tough race in wintry conditions. Barry Wheeler performed well, in a time of 40.13. John Shepherd followed, having lost his shoe mid race, just edging out John Rogerson in a final sprint with times of 42.47 and 42.48. Experienced Stuart Cann enjoyed his first venture on the fells, finishing just under 45 minutes.
Alison John-Haslam was the first Red Rose lady home with a determined run finishing in 45.36, over three minutes ahead of her nearest team mate Paula Plowman, to secure 2nd place in the Fell Championship.

At the Hurst Green Turkey Trail race over a five mile course, runners met with harsh winter weather. John Hyde finished strongly in 40.08 whilst Viv Sherry 47.19, Emma Cowie Shaw 50.50 ran well in the tough conditions.
