At the newly established Preston Parkrun Ben Donoghue dipped comfortably under 20 minutes with a time of 19.10. On the third lap he closed in on Joe Swarbrick before sprinting into the lead in the final 100metres and finishing in third place. Shane Cliffe ran 20.10 just ahead David Williams who ran 20.19. Stuart Cann almost matched his time from the previous week in spite of the very warm conditions finishing in 21.28.Gavin Beetham set a new PB with 27.37, whilst Sally Cape battled hard on the three lap course, which includes a tough up hill bend on each lap, finishing with a new PB of 28.17.Louise Gavell and Dan Robinson both completed their first Parkrun finishing in times of 29.11 and 30.43.
At the Blackpool Beach 10K which is an ‘out and back’ course described as a gruelling yet fun event on the beach between Blackpool and St Annes, Simon Houghton ran an excellent 43.20 whilst Julie Coupe took first V40 in a time of 50.53.
