Red Rose turned out in force for the Preston Inter Club held at Vernon’s Cricket Club. 23 men and 11 ladies ran the 4.9 mile course along Tram Road and the banks of the River Ribble. The stand out performances came from Claire Bunce who won the ladies race in 31.08 and John Shepherd who came 10th overall in a great time of 28.14. Other strong performances came from runners new to the Inter Club series. Steve Whitney ran a very promising 30.00 and equally impressive was Rachel Hull finishing in 32.52. Team performances included third overall, 2nd Vets and 3rd V50. The ladies’ team were 4th.

At the Preston Parkrun three runners produced PB’s. David Williams ran 19.56 for 5th place, John Allan ran 23.09, Roger Johnson 25.14 and Mike Jeffryes ran for the first time finishing in 26.52.
