At the Guy’s 10 mile race the overnight fall in temperature made some runners wary of slippery conditions. Although club champion, Ken Addison was first home for Red Rose in 63.49 and 3rd V55, there were plenty of good times posted by other runners. Shane Cliffe will have seen Addison finish as he neared the finish in a very good time of 64.21. Mike Hall and Phil Butler battled for supremacy with Hall just edging it, in 67.45 and Butler home 7 seconds later. Stuart Cann produced another consistent run at this distance finishing in 69.32 and Stephen Gore ran a PB of 71.04. Jill Jefferson was second F50 with a very good time of 75.04. William Platt was next home in 81.50 in front of Zac Giles (83.28.) Vet 50, Andrew Baxendale ran 88.33 followed soon after by George Fletcher in a satisfying 89.37. A trio of Red Rose women, Sally Cape, Anne Nelson and Jo Duffy followed, recording the same time of 96.35 whilst Karen and Chris Clark completed the line up with times of 1.41.40 and 1.41.34 respectively.
At St Catherine’s Santa Dash Jamie Jay Jardine ran an impressive 20.59 for the 5k distance.
