The Sotos 10K at Fleetwood attracted a good field of 232 runners with 18 Red Rose Road Runners. Ben Donoghue took 10th place in a time of 37.03. Andrew Pendergast made a welcome appearance and broke 40 minutes with a time of 39.50. Stuart Cann continued his quest for a 40 minute time but had to be satisfied with 42.00. Peter Gibson had more success, he finished in a very good time of 45.32 to take the V65 prize. The club took several other top places with Carol Douglass finishing first F65 in 52.58, Debbie Kirkman being third F40 in 45.52, Janine Needham being 2nd F35 in 46.19. Younger members also shared in the success with Joe Donoghue being second Junior in a time of 45.53 and Susanne Bell finishing in 46.39 to be second in the open women’s category.

Ken Addison took part in the mass participation BUPA Great North 10K and finished 57th in a respectable 39.20 to take second V55 and Shane Cliffe took on the Trawden 7 mile Trail Race finishing in 50.21. At the Preston Parkrun 5k, Anthony Murphy clipped 18 seconds of his previous best to run 20.51.
