Red Rose turned a host of PB performances in the coastal heat at the Windmill Half Marathon. Even in these challenging conditions on the two lap course, there was plenty to celebrate. Jose Pinon Shaw lead the way with an overall position of 27th in a great time of 1.25.57 in a high quality field. Mark Billington rose to the challenge with a PB of 1.28.37 followed by Stuart Cann’s best time of 1.32.21. Steve Gore was in fine form with his PB of 1.36.15. Debbie Kirkman ran another great race to be 3rd F40 in a PB of 1.38.25 with Janine Needham 3rd in the F35 category in a PB of 1.41.48. Cliff Utting continued his good form in the V60 class with a second place in 1.43.33.
New member Richard Thompson battled round the course in 1.49.54 with Colin Manning perhaps suffering from the heat finishing in 2.18.42 and Aimee Midgley earning a PB of 2.27.12.
Two Red Rose runners tackled the Parkrun for the first time. Paul Dawson ran an impressive 20.19 and Shelley Reagan ran well for 28.24. Joe Donoghue matched his PB of 20.25.
