Red Rose Women took part in the Bispham 10k with 126 runners. Debbie Kirkman was first F40 in an excellent time of 42.42, Margaret Lupton finished in 50.17 and Lucy lodge had an encouraging run to be first female junior in 50.38.
Richard Oakley was the first Red Roser in the Welcome Tavern 10k in a time of 41.53 to win the Vet 55 prize. Stuart Cann managed 41.58 on the back of a hard 5k the day before. Jill Jefferson kept up her reputation in the FV55 category with another victory in a time of 44.22. John Wiseman (48.22), David Wilkinson (57.14) and Sue Harrison (62.06) completed the club’s representatives.
At the first Cuerden Valley Parkrun an excellent turnout of 163 runners must have been amazing encouragement to the organisers. Twelve ‘Rosers’ took part in what will prove a very testing course in a great setting.

At the Preston Parkrun, Bev Hewitson improved her PB with a time of 27.22.
Shane Cliffe was the lone representative at the tough Boulsworth Fell race finishing in a time of 63.46.
