A happy group of 13 Red Rose Runners returned from the Conwy Half Marathon with PB’s and great memories from their assault on the Great Orme. The route runs along the road adjacent to the Conwy River as it proceeds towards Deganwy beach and the West Shore Llandudno From there it goes along Church Walks towards Llandudno Pier, then around the Great Orme taking in views of the Isle of Anglesey, Puffin Island and the surrounding North Wales coastline, before returning to Conwy and the finish line. PB’s were achieved by Joanne Malcolmson 1.51.58, Martin Simpson 1.54.54 and Debbie Porter 1.56.51 along with ‘Half’ debuts from Helen Orson 2.23.19 and Andy Speer 1.54.26. Steve Gore lead the club home in 92.51 with Mark Billington pushing him all the way with a time of 93.20. Phil Davidson finished in 96.47.

At the very first Chorley Fire 10k  Damien Russel achieved a PB with a time of 50.44 followed by Rachel Johnson in 52.38.  Mutually encouraging performances from  Tracey Alami and Pita Oates resulted in times of 61.23 and 61.52.

At Cuerden Valley Parkrun  there was lots of glory for Red Rose Road Runners with yet another First Lady finish from Finty Royle and a fine clutch of PBs from Stuart Cann, Paula Plowman, Jon Royle, Karen Clark, Alice Lodge, Lee Burton, Eric Ward and one of our newest Red Rose members, Simon Kirkman with his amazing Red Rose pacer Anneke Crosby. A fantastic morning all round and furthermore, a fine array of Movember moustaches, both real, painted or stuck on!!! Oooo la la to Robert Taylor with his lovely bunch of onions!!!!!!!
