Weekly Roundup 26th January 2015

The runners at the Welcome 10k were in for a surprise when they finished the race. A quick check of the many Garmins being worn in the race showed a 6.6 mile route rather than 6.2 adding anything from 2 to 5 minutes on to a 10k time. A mix up with the position of the starting line caused the error and although a few may have been disappointed with the distance the overall impression was that it was a good race.

Red Rose Road Runners were lead home by Dan Hughes in 12th place overall in 39.39. Ken Addison was V55 winner with a time of 41.37. In 50th place out of 293 was Chris Brown in 45.15. Janine Needham was our first lady taking the 2nd F40 place in a time of 48.56.
