Red Rose appearances at races this Christmas have been limited but the festive season was celebrated with large groups meeting for training runs in a variety of scenic places.
One great performance at the Central Lancs Half marathon was Steve Gore’s 1.27.59 improving his PB by more than 3 minutes apparently with plenty left at the end of the race.
Steve Gore joined Vicky Gore, Angela Brooks and Phil Davidson at the Marple parkrun on New Year’s Day and then 3 of them also did Lyme Park parkrun which was an undulating trail run (harder than Cuerden Valley).
Vicky Gore has started the new year with PB performances with a time of 27.18 at Preston Parkrun and 56.38 for 10k at the Boxing Day race.
Juniors training starts again after the holidays next Monday, 12th January, at 6:30 at Yamba UK on Coote Lane. See you there for more fun, games and running.
