Red Rose Runners have been out in force supporting various Parkrun events this week. Eight members became tourists for the day travelling to Pendle. The course there is over a varied terrain. Steve Gore headed a field of about 70 runners for a short while but became un nerved when he became unsure of the course but managed fourth place in 22.09. Philip Davidson was also well place in 6th in a time of 22.46. Richard Ward ran well for 25.18 and Claire Shaw finished in 34.06 just ahead of Angela Brooks . (34.30). The children enjoyed their day out. Eric Ward performed well on a very difficult course with a time of 48.36 with Megan Gore and her mum only a few seconds behind in 48.45.
The Preston Parkrun had another busy day with 258 finishers with 18 RR runners. Personal Best performances were achieved by Steve Taylor (23.19) and Lisa Bolton (24.10) A further 172 runners turned up for the Cuerden Valley event with 20 RR runners participating, along with a loyal band of volunteers. There were two PB’s achieved. Mac McCormack ran 34.18 and Beverley Flood 37.01.
