The runners at the Lostock 6 mile race usually have to contend with poor conditions and this year was no different. Inclement weather included snow/ blizzard conditions in the final part of the race. The first three Red Rose Runners were Ken Addison, who secured another V55 first place position in a great time of 37.27, Steven Taylor, second in 44.46 and Peter O’Grady third in 47.32.
Damien Russell did the Sewerby Hall Park Run in Bridlington on Saturday,It was an undulating course covering, woodland, grass trials and coastal cliff top paths. A tougher course than many but very enjoyable. He was glad to report that he achieved a PB with a time of 23:37. If anyone is ever on the east coast on a Saturday morning this is worth a visit.
This week’s Parkrun saw a great performance from Karl Hodgson at Cuerden Valley finishing in 3rd position in 19.49. PB’s were achieved by Anees Shaikh, 27.17, Alice Lodge 28.45, Hannah Bateson 33.00, Chris Clark 33.46. At Preston, Tina Carr ran a PB of 26.36 as she closes in on her 100th Parkrun.
