The 2 featured events this weekend were the Catforth 5k and Windmill 10k.
Personal best were thin on the ground with the adverse weather conditions, but at the Catforth race Gareth Bell ran a fine PB of 19.49 battling the headwind to the finishing line. Other finishers for the Red Rose club were Dave Raynor 21.05, John Wiseman 22.41, Anthony Hughes 23.01, Anneke Crosby 23.05, Judi Ingham 26.57, Andrea Davison 28.25, Emily Ingham 30.10, Carol Heaton 30.10, Davina Bowling 30.15, Simon Kirkman 33.07, and Nina Colquhoun 33.57.
At the Windmill 10k Peter O’Grady led the Red Rose Road Runners home dipping under 50 minutes with 49.22.Also running were Jim McClean 53.00, Melanie Lowe 56.32, Helen Greenhalgh 61.45, Louise Davitt 63.34, Marion O’Grady 63.44, Sarah Haslam 64.12, Sarah Runcie 64.33, Peter Rothwell 66.51, Rob Mather 66.54, and Heidi Webber 67.21.
Red Rose also had 39 runners involved in the weekly 9am Saturday morning parkruns. Philip Davison did a bit of parkrun tourism at Newby Bridge where he ran 31.04.
