My first outing in the red vest despite being a member of RRRR for over a year now. I had a long standing commitment with a good friend of mine (Janine Ellis of Wilmslow Running Club) to run in her clubs’ premier club event.
It was a lovely day in Cheshire as the damp roads dried out under Spring sunshine and I set off with 4999 others from the rugby club at 10.30. A great mainly rural and scenic route with a few more undulations than I was expecting. That said, my aspirational target of sub 1.40 was met – just about (1.39.47) Janine – as usual – won a prize (although only one this year!)
Great event and I felt fully justified in my post-run indulgence
Great running Nigel!
