Duncan Anderson led Red Rose home at the Myerscough 10 mile taking 4th place in a great time of 59.00.John Naylor clocked 67.41 followed by Andy Birkbeck in 71.18 finishing as 4th V50 and Janine Needham 4th F40 in 72.40. Anneke Crosby claimed 2nd F50 in 81.19, Joan Gouldthorpe 1st F65 in 89.51 and Carolyn Douglass, literally in a class of her own with a great time of 86.24 in the F70 group. A great turnout from the club saw these times. At the Lancaster Half Marathon, Mike Hall came in 32nd place with 1.31.28 with Manola Mendoza 1.35.16 and Ben Smithers 1.37.19. Richard Field finished in 1.48.17. Closing in on the two hour mark, Louise Withnell and Iain Mitchell finished in 2.01.37 and Michelle Griffiths and Lorna Taylor ran well for 2.03.46. David Hindle, first V60, ran 2.07.07 followed by a close run between Jessica Campbell 2.17.30, Katy Cleece 2.18.00, Ros Crompton 2.19.28. Ali Faisal completed the line up in 2.39.25.
Phil Davidson travelled to Workington parkrun and finished as first M55 in 20.43 closing in on the title of North West Regionnaire.
At Preston parkrun ,Red Rose were in good form with new PB’s for Manolo Mendoza 21.06, Stephen Robertson 21.28, Paula Stell 26.14, Glynis Leo 26.55, Jo Roberts 31.10.
At Cuerden Valley, Ciarron Roddy confirmed his good form coming home first in 18.23 with Dan Hughes second in 18.58. Barry Wheeler recorded a PB of 21.18.
