Two of our juniors raced the train on holiday- they completed the Dolgoch challenge which is 5.5 miles. Holly Smith completed in 55.59 and won her age category and Dan Smith completed in 1.02.04. It was fantastic fun running alongside the train and the other challenges.
They have both recently been putting in some hard work with their running- both attending Pita’s intervals and park runs.

Five Red Rosers braved the scorching conditions for the West Lancs summer triathlon, which comprises a 400m swim, an 18.5k bike ride and a 5k run, all taking place in and around the beautiful facilities at Edge Hill University and the surrounding country lanes. The event is extremely well supported at poolside and on the bike/run routes and it was lovely to see Ruth Travis marshalling at transition and Mo Laney giving enthusiastic support on the run route. Overall finishing times: Andrew Stell 1:13:03, Paula Stell 1:30:24, Sue Austin 1:32:15, Lorna Cragg 1:34:20 and Jenny Fairclough 1:39:17.
