The Longridge 7 is a highlight of the Christmas preparation for many local runners. Over 30 Red Rose Road Runners enjoyed the occasion with plenty of Christmas costumes. The course starts with a fast flat road section and that’s the last flat section of the race. Uphill for 4 miles and downhill for 3 summarise the race terrain. Phil Marsden was 8th overall and the winner of the Vet 45 prize in 45.08. In 17th Dave Parkinson was awarded 1st Vet 50 in 47.28. Our leading lady was V60 Jill Jefferson who finished in 54.08. It almost goes without saying she won the F60 prize. Paula Plowman won the V55 prize in 63.02.
