There was a good turnout from RRRR for the Blackburn Winter Warmer 10k.This popular, well organised event by Blackburn Road Runners always provides a stern test for the runners but the weather was mainly dry and good for the runners. Jill Jefferson picked up the F60 prize with a time of 45:25. Club results: Andrew Stell 44.31, Jill Jefferson 45.25,John Wood 46.57, Anneke Crosby 48.29,Lisa Bolton 49.28, Ray Taylor 49.48, Austin Trelfa 50.32, Paula Stell 53.53, Pauline Moorcroft 54.36, James Hughes 55.15, Emily Ingham 55.56, Karen Smith 58.05, Louise Withnell 59.23, Jo Roberts 59.22, Natalie Smith 61.06, Carol Heaton 61.21, Leanne Finch 61.22, Tracey Alami 61.22, Laura Walker 62.58, Lesley Renshaw 66.00.

At Aintree racecourse we had runners doing all three distances. Windy conditions prevailed but Michael Oddie ran 1.31.33 to be second V45 in the half marathon. In the 10k, Matt Holmes crossed the line in second place in a time of 36.56 and Laura Walker finished in 58.20.In the 5k Sophie Pilkington ran 26.18 and Susan Beardsworth posted 35.17.

At the Preston parkrun Kristian Lowe was 3rd home finishing in a new PB of 18.13. Other PB’s were posted by Melanie Lowe (26.49) and Louise Walsh (31.52). At Cuerden Valley PB’s were achieved by Gina Chelton (28.59) Holly Smith (30.19) Emily Atkinson (30.55) and Helen Murphy (33.12).
