The Junior Championship is for all Junior Members 16 and under. The age categories are as defined by England Athletics
Under 13 Girls:- Ages 11 & 12 years on 1st April of the competition year
(Must be 11 years old on the day of Competition.)
Under 13 Boys :- Ages 11 & 12 years on 1st April of the competition year
(Must be 11 years old on the day of Competition.)
Under 15 Girls. Ages 13 & 14 years on 1st April of the competition year
Under 15 Boys:- Ages 13 & 14 years on 1st April of the competition year
Under 17 Women:- Ages 15 & 16 years on 1st April of the competition year
Under 17 Men:- Ages 15 & 16 years on 1st April of the competition year
Red Rose’s premier race competition. Its pits clubs members against each other in 8 road races, which are to held on Sundays, throughout the year. All first claim club members over the age of 16 are eligible to compete.
Races are held on existing open races that are organised by outside authorities. These races are not free to enter and you are expected to pay your own entry fees.
Club kit must be worn (you are reminded that all members are required to wear a club vest, short or long sleeve top in all competitions). Any member not wearing club kit will be counted as last placed.

Results
1st Red Rose male finisher 1 point, 2nd Red Rose male 2 points and so forth until the final Red Rose finisher. Ladies will be scored seperately using the same criteria.
There is no limit to the number of members who may score points in any race.
Prizes
Competitor’s lowest points total from 4 of the 8 races will be used to calculate final finishing positions. Trophies will be awarded to the first three runners and the first runner in each Vet category and are awarded at the presentation evening each year.
Vet categories for men are 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70; ladies 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70.
